Tre Sweden signs an agreement with Swedish IoT company Bumbee Labs.
The agreement means Tre will provide mobile connectivity for Bumbee Labs’ IoT solutions, which among other things measure visitor flows in shopping centres and city centres, a step towards smarter cities.
The measurements are made by capturing anonymised Wi-Fi signals from smartphones and are the only solution of their kind approved by the Swedish Data Protection Authority.

With its unique method, Bumbee Labs can produce reliable statistics on how many people visit a particular area, such as a city centre, how they move, how long they stay in the area and more.
By analysing the collected data, companies that for example run shopping centres or shops can streamline and optimise their operations based on how people move. A prerequisite for success is a stable and secure connection.

The solution from Tre is a pure mobile solution, which means Bumbee Labs does not need to depend on fixed network connections. All data will be handled via the 3 IoT Control Centre to give a flexible and reliable overview of all data traffic.
