3 Sweden said it has agreed to supply IoT services provider Bumbee Labs with connectivity for its smart city items, such as meters to count the number of visitors to shopping malls and town centres. These work by capturing anonymised Wi-Fi signals from smartphones. The Bumbee Labs measuring service is the only such one to have been approved by the Data Inspection Authority.
